Designer Otto Placzek also created other commemorative medals for participants in airplane, automobile and bicycle rallies as well as for the carrier pigeon breeders who offered their birds for the Opening Ceremony festivities.

Participation medals were made from bronze but produced by four different foundaries with the color unique to the foundary that cast them: bistre brown, dark brown, greenish brown and reddish brown.
