Olympic Games Tokyo 1964 Official Torch

Stainless steel coated cyclindrical combustion tube with "OLYMPIC TORCH" stenciled at top and red band of tape around upper half of tube. Base of combustion tube has emblem of the Tokyo Games with "TOKYO 1964" stenciled underneath and "Showa Kaseihin Co. Ltd."
Blackened aluminium alloy handle with "XVIII Olympiad Tokyo 1964" and Olympic rings engraved on top is actual torch. "NIKKEI YANAGI" engraved on bottom. 28.4 inches high.

Fun fact(s):
The minimalistic design of the Tokyo 1964 torch was dedicated to the trends which were in fashion in the '60s. With a handle separate from the combustion tube, it resembled a Samuri sword.
