Conical-shaped brass torch with the inscription "IX OLYMPISCHE WINTERSPIELE INNSBRUCK 1964" and Olympic rings embossed on the hammered upper bowl. Handle has two bands in center portion. The torch resembled the shape of the torches used in the 19th Century. 23.4 inches high.

Fun fact(s):
The Innsbruck 1964 torch relay was the first Olympic winter relay that started in Olympia, Greece. The flame was lit on Jan. 22, and taken by car to Athens. From there it was flown to Vienna, and then to Innsbruck where it was placed on display in the Maximilian Saal of the Imperial Palace, famous for its balcony with the Golden Roof, a symbol of the city entirely covered in gold tiles.
