Wood-handled torch with aluminum upper in shape of Calgary tower. Calgary 1988 Olympic emblem on either side of upper with "XV Olympic Winter Games Calgary Alberta Canada" and "XVes Jeux Olympiques d'hiver Calgary Alberta Canada 1988." The shaft is made of maple and incised with 10 sport pictograms with rings below. At base, steel ring bearing inscription of Olympic motto, "Citius, Altius, Fortius." 19.7 inches high.
