The triangular shape of the torch represents the three multiples of three focused on the Games: the Olympic Games three values of excellence, friendship and respect; the Olympic motto of Citius, Altius, Fortius; the tri-vision of the 2012 Games of sport, education and culture; as well as noting the three times London hosted the Games (1908, 1948, 2012).
